Lisa ColbertLisa Colbert loves being a STEM Educator. From the time she was a child, she would spend hours a day outside with her father in the garden. Her love of nature, animals, and passion for working with children led her to become a teacher and advocate of minority children’s exposure to STEM fields and STEM education. Lisa has been a teacher for 19 years and is currently a STEAM Lab Educator for STEAM certified M. Agnes Jones Elementary in Atlanta Public Schools. She also spearheaded STEM Education in the Fulton County School System where she taught for 14 years. She has written curriculum for Science Summer programs at Kabrent Learning Academy in addition to providing teachers with training in Science, Math, Technology as well as STEM in Literacy. She’s been a First Lego League robotics coach and is currently a National Geographic Certified Educator. Lisa holds a Master Degree in Science Education, is STEM Certified, and holds several Microsoft Educator certifications. Lisa is married to Ernest Colbert Jr and resides in Ellenwood, Georgia. She enjoys bird watching, gardening, and caring for her tribe of animals wild and domestic.
